Sea and Sky
Pigeons, formally called Pigeon Drones, are small, unmanned electronic crafts that have their own single-use, burst wormhole generators on them. They can be used to, relatively, quickly send messages from far-flung stations or spacecraft.
Pigeons are about a foot long, and come in a variety of shapes depending on use. All pigeons are powered by EmDrives, and contain a wormhole generator that can create a wormhole slightly larger than the pigeon that will allow it to go from the starting destination to the programmed coordinates. This wormhole is stable only briefly, collapse beginning only around thirty minutes after the pigeon enters. Upon exiting and returning to normal space, the pigeon broadcasts a signal to the programmed frequency and continues towards a second set of coordinates programmed into it in order to meet the rendezvous point.
Pigeons can typically carry around 1 terabyte of data, and in many cases this data is heavily encrypted to prevent information leaks in the case of interception.
